BioI was born in 1985 in middle-of-nowhere, Pennsylvania. I am the middle of 5 children: I have an older sister and brother, and two younger sisters. At this point I have 3 nieces and 1 nephew. And before I moved to NY I lived in the same ugly green house for my entire life.
For some reason I have never been able to explain, even to myself, I decided going to college in New York was an awesome idea. So, I graduated with a BS in Journalism and Mass Communications from St. Bonaventure University in May of 2008.
Since graduating in May I have moved four times. Given a choice in the matter I would not have moved four times in my life but it seems the universe did not agree with that idea. Currently I am living in NY with some extremely generous friends and my cat, Alpine.
After interning and freelancing for the local newspaper for the last 2 years I am officially employed there as a part-time photographer. Also, I am slowly making my way into wedding photography, I have only done a few at this point and I still lack some equipment that would make my job easier but I am improving greatly with every wedding and think I have a chance to be really good if I keep working at it. My dream is to be a photographer for Sports Illustrated but I know I need to start way smaller. With any luck I will find a full-time photojournalism position in the near future so I can start paying my dues and working towards a real career.
